ecoFINISH Coatings

A New Era of Coatings

Surface Characteristics

ecoFINISH Coatings boast a smooth, pH neutral surface that is resistant to chemicals, stains, and cracking. Its outstanding adhesion and resistance make it an ideal choice for pool coatings.

ecoFINISH Installation

The installation of ecoFINISH Coatings includes slip-resistant techniques, water slide finish application, and repairable features.

New Finish Start Up

The start-up process for ecoFINISH coatings is straightforward and efficient. The application of the coating involves a streamlined procedure that ensures a smooth and even coat, providing a high-quality finish.

Because it is a flame-sprayed plastic finish, it doesn’t require a complicated start up that lasts two weeks. We can start filling up the pool just minutes after applying the final coat.

The pool and a fire pit area are surrounded by a light-colored, patterned stone patio. The yard is bordered by green grass and a house with a gray roof and siding. Several lounge chairs and other outdoor furniture are arranged around the pool.

Use Above the Waterline

Unlike traditional pool finishes, aquaBRIGHT and polyFIBRO® coatings are designed to be used not only underwater but also on areas above the waterline, remaining highly resistant to cracking or fading.

ecoFINISH® coatings are suitable for various applications including always wet, sometimes wet, and never wet areas on pool surfaces and features. With aquaBRIGHT or polyFIBRO® finishes, pool tile can be eliminated by extending the coating up to the coping, offering a seamless look.

Slip Resistant Installation Techniques Available

You can opt for slip-resistant installation techniques when applying ecoFINISH coatings, ensuring a safe and secure surface. These techniques are especially valuable for pool areas or other surfaces prone to water exposure.

The use of these methods enhances safety without compromising the aesthetic appeal of the finish. The incorporation of slip-resistant installation techniques adds an extra layer of security and makes the surfaces suitable for various environments, including high-traffic public places and residential settings.

Moreover, through these specialized techniques, you can achieve enhanced performance without sacrificing durability or longevity. This ensures that your ecoFINISH coating remains reliable while offering increased safety features to meet diverse needs in spaces with specific safety requirements.

A second worker with a respirator mask stands nearby, and a third worker is standing in the background. A large, turquoise-blue water slide is visible behind them, ending at the edge of the pool.

Water Slide Finish

While aquaBRIGHT and polyFIBRO® coatings are naturally slip-resistant in their standard application, they can also be enhanced to provide exceptional slip resistance for steps. Interestingly, these coatings can be applied to concrete and fiberglass waterslides to create a slippery surface, allowing for an exhilarating slide experience. This means that waterslides can now receive a finish that seamlessly matches the interior of the pool.

If the surface does become less glossy and slippery over time due to extensive sliding, it can easily be re-glossed or have additional material added without the need to remove the existing aquaBRIGHT or polyFIBRO® coating. This ensures long-lasting performance and enjoyment of your waterslide without the hassle of frequent maintenance or replacement.

The raised spa is connected to the pool and features a decorative stone facade with a small waterfall spilling into the main pool. The entire pool and spa are surrounded by a white coping and a light-colored, stamped concrete patio.

Repairable

aquaBRIGHT or polyFIBRO® coatings over cement or fiberglass surfaces can help conceal minor imperfections that may develop over time. Moreover, ecoFINISH® coatings offer easy repair options if damage occurs. Minor cosmetic issues can be repaired by reheating and melting the material to heal gouges and cuts, restoring the glossy finish.

For more significant repairs to the pool's underlying shell, the damaged area can be cut back approximately two inches around the affected area. Following the structural repair, the ecoFINISH® pool coating surface can be reapplied over the repaired area and seamlessly blended with the surrounding finish using ecoFINISH® equipment. This ensures that any damage to the pool's surface can be efficiently addressed, extending the lifespan and appearance of your pool with minimal disruption.
